In this exhibition about the figure of Pharaoh in ancient Egypt, more than one hundred and fifty pieces of the British Museum's collection are exhibited; among all the pieces stand otu some works of goldsmithing, monumental statues and beautiful reliefs of temples that help the visitor to understand the real life and power of Egypt during the time when the pharaohs reigned (approximately between 3100 and 30 BC).
The images and objects of ancient Egypt that have survived to this day speak of the reality of an empire that has fascinated man throughout history. "Pharaoh. King of Egypt" presents these objects to explain life in those past times, paying special attention to the aspects of the Egyptian monarch such as the divine character of the pharaohs, the symbolism of the jewels and costumes, religiosity, rituals, the administrative organization of the country, the expansive and protection wars, and the palace life.
