FLIC is a festival related to literary experience and creation. Its main objective is to promote the relationship between literature and the different arts. To do so, it uses innovative and experimental formats that encourage interdisciplinary creation, while generating interest in literature. Along these lines, FLIC encourages literary action in unusual spaces and brings it closer to audiences at risk of social exclusion. Another of the festival's characteristics is its proximity to powerful international initiatives, which is why it has been recognized with the EFFE LABEL 2017-2018 European seal of quality from the EFA. This seal is only awarded to Festivals that stand out for their artistic quality and have an outstanding impact on three levels: local, national and international.
FLIC is held in several cities and has an itinerant character. It is organized in several sections with differentiated programming in each of them.
The 2025 edition of Flic Festival Barcelona
The FLIC festival, organized by the non-profit association Tantágora, will take place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona during the weekend of March 22 and 23. This edition merges various artistic disciplines, games and creativity with the aim of bringing literature to new generations through literary mediation. Magalí Homs, director of Tantágora and the FLIC festival, stresses the importance of not simply asking people to read, but to generate the desire to do so.
This edition is again organized in 3 spaces aimed at children in different age groups:
Space -5
Aimed at the youngest, from 6 months to 5 years old. In this space they can participate in symbolic games, activities with books and watch shows.
Space 6-11
A space full of literary experiences designed to enjoy literature and its creation in a playful way. Illustration, creation, oral narration, reading aloud, games and even a portable library will find their place in this module.
Space +12
An area exclusively for teenagers, where adults are not allowed to enter. Drawing, writing, painting comics, creating stories, listening to music, reading or simply chatting with friends: a space for those over 12 to feel comfortable and freely express their concerns.
