La Paloma once again includes ballroom dancing with a live orchestra in its regular programming. Sessions are held every Sunday afternoon.
In a context of reopening of its activity after 16 years of being closed, the historic room recovers one of the most emblematic sessions that managed to attract hundreds of dancers to the venue every week for decades, turning La Paloma into the temple of dance in Barcelona.
Los Tigres del Raval
The “Tigres del Raval” band, made up of eight musicians trained at ESMUC and the Taller de Músics, will be in charge of putting music to the event. They will interpret period themes, but from a fresh and contemporary perspective. Various styles and genres will sound between the walls of La Paloma, from American Jazz to Mambo, passing through Bolero, Cha Cha Chá, Salsa or Timba, among others.
