Concerts
The ESMUC's Great Ensembles cycle is held twice a year, usually at the end of the school terms, when the various ensembles of the school can show the fruit of their work. This cycle of concerts takes place under the conditions and with the level of demand typical of professional practice.
All the performances of this cycle are recorded in high quality and can be followed on the ESMUC's Youtube channel of the ESMUC.

About the great ensembles of ESMUC
- Camerata ESMUC Quartet Casals: A string orchestra led by the members of the Quartet Casals as first lecterns. It combines undergraduate and master students, working with the complicity of a chamber group in orchestral format.
- Big Band: Training that focuses on learning from rehearsals to the final concert, showing interpretative skills that evolve with each course. It has been conducted by leading figures such as María Schneider and Perico Sambeat.
- Bottega d'Opera: Workshop that recovers and stages historical operas, presented for the first time at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in 2021. The result of musicological research that has revealed new perspectives on unknown works.
- Ensemble Instrumental: This ensemble focuses on 20th century repertoire and contemporary trends, offering students an in-depth exploration of current composers and styles.
- Gran Conjunt Flamenco: Dedicated to the academic study of flamenco, it includes undergraduate and master's students, and seeks to innovate methodologies and concepts within this musical genre.
- Cobla: Training dedicated to concert music for cobla, covering sardanas, works with soloists and fusions with other genres such as jazz and modern music, with an eye towards the future of the repertoire.
- Gran Conjunt Simfònic: The ESMUC Symphony Orchestra, with extensive experience, performs from classical works such as Mahler's symphonies to contemporary repertoires, conducted by renowned conductors.
- ESMUC Jazz Project: Multidisciplinary formation that explores the repertoire of iconic jazz figures and presents original works by its directors, integrating jazz and modern music students.
- Gran Conjunt Antiga: Specializing in early music, it has performed at festivals and emblematic venues in Barcelona. It is made up of students of early music and students of the master's degree in this specialty.
- Conjunt d'Arrel de l'ESMUC: Combines instruments of traditional Catalan music with other styles, promoting transversality. It has been directed by referents such as Kepa Junkera and Marcel Casellas.
