Guitar BCN is the most important festival of venues in Barcelona. It offers an eclectic and cosmopolitan program with artists linked to the world of the six strings. This year reaches its 34th edition and as usual presents reference artists and new rising values in emblematic venues and spaces of the city. This year the Guitar BCN artists will take to the stages of Apolo, Apolo [2], Auditori del Fòrum, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Luz de Gas, L'Auditori Sala 2, Palau de la Música Catalana, Razzmatazz, Sala Paral-lel 62, Sant Jordi Club, Teatro Tívoli and Teatro Coliseum.
About the 2024 edition of Guitar BCN
Guitar Bcn 2024 has unveiled its lineup, which culminates with a headlining performance by renowned U.S. band Toto on July 26 at Poble Espanyol. Led by Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams, Toto is an unquestioned icon of the most sophisticated rock, known for unforgettable anthems such as "Africa," "Rosanna" and "Hold The Line." In recent times, the band has experienced a resurgence in popularity with over 3.4 billion streams on Spotify in the last decade.
Opening the festival will be the brilliant Sole Giménez at the Palau de la Música Catalana, presenting a ¡Celebración!" that will run through her greatest hits. Rozalén will make her debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu with her latest album, and the festival will present the new works of established artists such as Mikel Izal, El Kanka, Coque Malla and Xoel López.
The legendary group Los Tigres del Norte, prominent in the norteño and narcocorridos scene, will perform for the first time in Barcelona since 2008. The talented Noa returns to Barcelona with her acclaimed songs and some novelties, being recognized for her music and her commitment to peace.
The festival will also pay tribute to the masters of the progressive sound of the 70's with tributes to Pink Floyd, Tubular Bells and the music of Mike Oldfield, as well as Genesis. Galicians Milladoiro will present their Celtic folk at the Palau de la Música Catalana, while Rodrigo Cuevas will make his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu with his new show "La Romería".
Las Marlena will premiere their new repertoire at the Apolo, where Vicco and Antoñito Molina will also perform. Gossos, classics of the Catalan scene, return after five years with ten exclusive concerts, including a performance at Guitar Bcn.
With a variety of genres and artists, Guitar Bcn 2024 promises to be a unique and exciting musical experience.
