Catalonia in Miniature is a park with scale models that reproduce 147 monuments, buildings, infrastructures and emblematic places of the four Catalan provinces, the Balearic Islands and works by Antoni Gaudí located in León and Cantabria. Declared of National Tourist Interest, it opened its doors in 1983 and is the largest park in Europe for miniature reproductions.
Here you can see the most important monuments of Barcelona and all of Catalonia, in a single day. During the tour, you will pass by the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, Park Güell, Casa Vicens, Palau Güell, Tibidabo Amusement Park, Barcelona Cathedral, Palau de la Generalitat, the City Hall of Barcelona, the Camp Nou, the Llotja, the Columbus Monument, the Estació de Francia and many more.
The adventure circuits
In addition to the model park, Catalonia in Miniature has adventure circuits adapted for different age groups: the Circuit for children from 4 years old and less than 130 cm, has, for example, a climbing wall and a suspension bridge of logs ; the Junior Circuit, which offers zip lines and rope bridges, among other obstacles, and which is made up of a Medium Circuit, minimum height required 130 cm (unaccompanied) or 120 cm (accompanied by an adult), and Extreme Circuit, minimum height required 150 cm (unaccompanied) or 140 cm (accompanied by an adult); and the Adult Circuit similar to the Junior Circuit, but with more difficulty.
The adventure circuits are not included in the price of the Catalonia in Miniature park. To reserve them, clients must visit the circuits between 11:00 and 12:30. Start time is on a first-come, first-served basis and last admission is 1 hour before closing.
Curiosities of Catalonia in Miniature
To build the model of the Sagrada Familia it took 13,000 hours and the work of 6 model makers, and for the Camp Nou 4,000 hours and 3 model makers.
