The Primavera Sound festival has been held in Barcelona since 2001 and has established itself as a world reference for the urban festival model. The musical selection is based on eclecticism and coherence, but also on risk. Music so that spectators of different generations can enjoy the live music experience to the fullest with pop, rock and the most underground trends of dance music as protagonists.

The Primavera Sound 2025 edition
At Primavera Sound 2025 147 artists await us. The central days of the festival will be held from June 5 to 7 at the Parc del Fòrum, the iconic space that has been part of the idiosyncrasy of the festival for 20 years. Note also that the parallel programming will extend to other venues in Barcelona for a week.
The distribution by days of the program is not yet known, and soon will be revealed which bands and artists will perform on the usual opening day on Wednesday June 4 and the closing party on Sunday June 8. The full parallel program of Primavera a la Ciutat will be published at a later date.
She is the moment
Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx and Chappell Roan, the three most important artists of the current pop scene, will headline this edition of Primavera Sound Barcelona. Charli xcx will take the stage of the Paec del Fòrum for the second consecutive year driven by the unstoppable BRAT phenomenon; Chappell Roan will shine her crown of Midwest princess; Sabrina Carpenter, the American dream made pop singer, will offer us the limitless charm of Short n'Sweet. The presence of these three artists at the festival is a goal accomplished: three women headlining the program.
Highlights at the Parc del Fòrum
To the aforementioned Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx and Chappell Roan, we have to add:
- LCD Soundsystem: dance-punk and electronic band led by James Murphy, which is known for its hypnotic beats and introspective lyrics.
- FKA twigs: British artist who combines experimental R&B and visual art with her music. Known for her innovative use of sounds and unique stage presence.
- HAIM: pop-rock group composed of three sisters from Los Angeles, famous for their energetic style and blend of pop, folk and classic rock.
- Jamie xx: producer and member of The xx, known for his mixes of electronic and pop music, and for his exploration of deep, melancholic sounds.
- Fontaines D.C.: post-punk band from Ireland that reflects the urban and cultural life of Dublin, combining poetic lyrics with a raw and energetic sound.
- Beach House: dream pop duo known for their ethereal and melodic sound, enveloping the listener in nostalgic soundscapes.
- IDLES: British punk rock band with powerful lyrics, often loaded with social criticism. Their performances are intense and very emotional.
- Clairo: bedroom pop singer and songwriter whose lyrics deal with themes of youth and vulnerability.
- Turnstile: Baltimore-born hardcore punk band that has gained popularity for its melodic and energetic approach, which has allowed it to bring hardcore to new audiences.
- Sturgill Simpson: alternative country musician who explores diverse genres. He fuses traditional country with rock and psychedelia.
- ANOHNI and the Johnsons: ANOHNI's project that mixes emotive lyrics and deep sounds to talk about themes such as love and gender identity.
- Floating Points: British electronic producer who experiments with jazz and ambient to create complex and atmospheric soundscapes.
- Stereolab: French-British experimental pop and post-rock group, known for mixing electronic sounds and critical lyrics.
- Spiritualized: space rock band famous for their immersive performances, combining psychedelia, gospel and blues.
- Parcels: Australian indie-pop quintet that fuses funk and disco.
Primavera PRO
International meeting with talks, conferences, workshops, showcases and meetings, held in parallel to the festival, aimed at music industry professionals. Since its first edition in 2010, it has become an international benchmark for independent music. This year's Primavera PRO will be held from June 4 to 7.
