Arquitecturas negras. Rubén Panete

Rubén Panete has been touring the Eastern European countries for years, taking pictures of concrete blocks without personality. In his works, the photographed acquires an almost sculptural presence as in the typologies of the Becher. The photographs of Panete transmit a strange serenity and transform the anodyne into monumental, but he does not want to show us some sort of "tourist postcards of the desolation", nor is it a post-romantic enchanted with a world turned into wasteland, but tries to find vestiges that allow the activation of the "enraptured look".
