A few hours before saying goodbye to the year, the last popular race of the year is organized in Barcelona: the last sprint before the chimes of the end of the year to welcome the year 2025. The Cursa dels Nassos (the race of the noses) will take place on Sunday, December 31, at 5:15 pm. The course, 10 km long, runs close to the coast on an almost flat circuit, and starts and ends at Selva de Mar street.
The minimum age to participate is 16 years (participants aged 16 and 17 years at the time of registration must have the authorization signed by the father, mother or legal guardian).
The registration period ends at 5:00 p.m. on December 21 or when 11,500 participants have registered (1,500 more than last year).

The Origin of the Nassos Race
The Cursa dels Nassos began to be held in 1999 under the name San Silvestre Barcelonesa, until 2004 when it took its current name. The Sant Silvestre Barcelonesa was born as an initiative of the then technical director of the Club Natació Montjuïc, Domingo López. In 2005 it adopted the name Cursa dels Nassos-Sant Silvestre de Barcelona, in reference to the popular character of the Catalan tradition that appears on December 31.
