About Lizt Alfonso
Lizt Alfonso is one of the leading figures of dance in Cuba, and recognized by Michelle Obama or the BBC, among others. Graduated in Theater and Dramaturgy from the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA) in 1990, this artist established her own company in 1991, based at the Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso. She has been the creator, choreographer and director of all her shows, presenting them on five continents. A pioneer in fusion dance, she developed her own teaching methodology and founded her own school in Havana, which receives more than a thousand students each year, from beginners to professionals. She also founded a Children's and Youth Ballet, offered Summer Courses and organized a Choreographic Contest. In addition, he ventured into entertainment with the creation of musical shows.
