It all started six years ago, in Poland, as a hobby, and after the first exhibition held in 2013 it has become the largest exhibition of Lego pieces in Europe. To give an idea of the size, Expo Piezas Lego consists of 30 million blocks and is transported in 25 trucks. More figures, it has already been seen by more than 3 million people in 7 countries in Europe, and 100 people work on the project.
In Expo Piezas Lego you can see more than 100 models that are organized in thematic areas, which occupy 2000 m2.
12 thematic zones
- Giant models: With large scale models such as the Batmobile, the famous Batman car, built at 1: 1 scale with 900,000 LEGO pieces, or the Titanic, 11 meters long and almost 3 meters high, built at scale 1: 25 with half a million pieces.
- The Sports Walk of Fame: Sports stars at 1: 1 scale. You can see soccer player Robert Lewandowski, NBA player Marcin Gortat (120,013 pieces for his 2.14 meters), Martina Navrátilova and a Bullfighter.
- Human Body: You can see basic organs, such as the brain and heart, as well as the respiratory system, the digestive system and the human skeleton.
- A different history lesson: With 1: 1 scale figures of Nicholas Copernicus, Frederic Chopin or Robert Wadlow, who until now has been the tallest man in the world with his 2.72 m height.
- Large models with mobile trains: Electric trains built with LEGO parts. Here you will see high-speed European trains traveling between the central stations of Warsaw, Berlin and Paris, and freight trains.
- Education: The exploration of the world of science and history.
- The architecture of the world: Monument and football stadiums. For example the Taj Mahal and the Sydney Opera House, and the Camp Nou and the Santiago Bernabeu.
- The Star Wars Zone: More than 100 models related to the most famous galactic saga in the world.
- The History Zone: The Smurfs Village, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, the Simpsons and many others.
- The Zone of Robots and Fantasy: Figures that move through the use of a suitable program. Elves, monsters, cosmic pirates and others. The endless battles between good and evil.
- Super Heroes: Super Hero figures made at 1: 1 scale. Thor, Captain America and Batman.
- The Mosaics: Gallery of paintings made with Lego pieces. Pictures of personalities such as Steve Jobs and Barack Obama.
Opening hours
- Monday to Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Fridays and Saturdays: from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Sundays and holidays: from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- During Christmas: From December 21 to January 7: from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., except December 24 and January 31 (from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and January 1 (from 12:00 p.m. to 21:30)
