Henri Cartier-Bresson
Henri Cartier-Bresson was a photojournalist, artistic photographer and portraitist, and with his talent for finding the "decisive moment", he captured spontaneous encounters and situations, becoming one of the most important representatives of street photography. This exhibition, held in collaboration with the Bucerius Kunstforum in Hamburg, offers an in-depth look at the co-founder of the legendary Magnum photographic agency. In addition to his early surrealist-influenced photographs and cinematographic works, as well as his political photo reportage, his portraits of famous artists and writers are on display, as well as his later photographs, which focus on everyday human behavior. Visitors will be able to view 240 original prints, and a carefully selected selection of his publications in magazines and books.
