The Kinosaure celebrations open their doors at the Girona Cinemas and the Zumzeig in Barcelona on Sundays 12, 19, 26 and 2 February. Guided by Kinosaure, the cinema enthusiast, this event invites children from 2 to 12 years old to relive past times, when we gathered around the fire to share stories, and the shadows projected on the walls of the cave outlined the first moving images.
In this edition we will learn about the role played by film archaeologists Alice Guy and Louis Lumière in the origins of cinematography, and we will find out how they turned light and shadows into a reality that continues to captivate us. We will also approach the nature and habitat of wetlands to explore what animal life is like in this ecosystem.
This year, once again, in collaboration with the theater company The Gecko in BootsThe Kinosaure festivities include in all program sessions the art of shadow theater and puppetry, which are close relatives of cinema.
