Alfa 5 represents a new entertainment concept that is deployed in a 2000 m2 space. Alfa 5 is also the largest XR Sports center in the world. There you will be able to practice 9 experiences that combine sport and high technology.
In this space, sport is transformed into a new form of entertainment thanks to extended reality (XR), a combination of technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality and interactive projections.
In each of the 9 experiences, players can set their own pace, intensity and goals to surpass themselves. In Alfa5 you can test your skills alone or in a group. Climb Everest, sharpen your aim on the move or stationary, play soccer or tennis, or dodge lasers in a room to feel like you're on a mission impossible.
What are XR Sports?
XR Sports (Extended Reality Sports) combine physical exercise with immersive technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR). These disciplines allow users to interact with virtual environments or combined with the real world while performing sports activities, offering dynamic experiences.
Why is it worthwhile to practice them?
- Motivation and entertainment: the gamification* of sport makes exercise sessions more fun and less monotonous, encouraging perseverance.
- Accessibility and variety: you can practice activities that would be difficult in real life, such as skiing on virtual mountains or training in simulated stadiums from home.
- Personalized challenges: many XR platforms allow you to adjust the level of difficulty, adapting to different abilities and physical goals.
- Social interaction: some XR Sports offer multiplayer experiences, where you can compete or collaborate with people from all over the world.
- Physical and mental benefits: combines the benefits of traditional sports with the cognitive stimulation offered by virtual environments, improving coordination, reflexes and concentration.
*Gamification consists of incorporating the dynamics of video games, such as obtaining points, levels, rewards, challenges and rankings in other environments.
