Pirates, the Thieves of the Sea, is the exhibition that brings together the largest number of original pieces related to the history of piracy in the world. You will be able to see more than 150 original archaeological objects of different origin: 90 pieces come from underwater excavations and the rest from private and antique collections. In addition, the exhibition has more than 40 replicas and models.
The extensive collection exhibited in 1,500 m2 allows the visitor to go chronologically through the history of piracy from the classical world, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, to the time of the pirates of the Caribbean. The tour features life-size holographs of pirates that explain their adventures and experiences, six scale models of royal ships and defense towers, four replicas of large-caliber weapons and more than thirty replicas of light weapons from all historical periods.
There will be no shortage of audiovisual resources and a three-way evolutionary projection within an immersive cube that makes the visit more realistic and educational. In addition, the exhibition offers QR codes to expand the information through the smartphone. The visitor will also be able to see two sets that will transport the visitor to a slave market in Algiers and to a Caribbean tavern on Isla de La Tortuga and to Puerto Royal. And if you want to become a pirate for a day, the organization puts at your disposal a photocall set on a pirate ship to complete a complete immersion in the world of piracy.
