Vinyes: Morphology and syntax in space

Exhibition by the Catalan artist Ramón Vinyes (Ribes de Freser, Girona, 1948) supervised by the professor of Art History Kosme de Barañano and which is made up of ten sculptures in steel, copper, aluminium and wood that reflect Ramon Vinyes´ constant aim to explore the perspective and the relation between solids and the vacuum. A few Ink drawings made with nib pen by the artist are presented as a complement to this exhibition; kinetic drawings (of the series Velas del pensamiento) adjusted to a dimension of 250 x 250 cm (years 2003-2007), and AutoCAD development drawings. Based on the command of geometry, the pieces by this artist have been conceived not to have a fixed position. Then, the observer can contemplate each work of art from many different points of view.
