Although some hundred-year-old shops in the city have already seen a better life, Barcelona is fortunate to have emblematic establishments, located in historic buildings, now run by other generations of the founding families.
In addition to preserving their most traditional trait, they have been able to adapt to the new times and offer artisan products, always different and worth knowing it. The centennial businesses of the city have a distinctive plaque at the entrance, which catalogs them as unique and important shops, from the historical, commercial and patrimonial point of view of the city.

It is no coincidence that its jewels offer symbolism of Barcelona, because a good part of its collections is inspired in it, where the colorful flashes of the artistic avant-gardes and the artisan tradition abound. Proof of this is that its workshop is one of the few in the world in which is used the technique of translucent enamel and in which enamel is fired.

El Rei de la Màgia
Enigmatic and mysterious. It is really one of the most surprising establishments in the city. In Princesa Street, the store, which has been operating since 1881, was founded by Joaquim Partagàs as a shop specializing in magic products. The current owners, since 1984, Josep Mª Martínez and Rosa M. Llop have been able to promote the only space dedicated entirely to the illusions of Barcelona. Although it was said that the store was going to close, it has not been so and in Junqueras street even has a theater museum. The museum collection faithfully reflects what is in the store and has grown thanks to donations and acquisitions.
