Sala Montjuïc
In this year's edition, number 18, Sala Montjuïc will be held in a more intimate atmosphere than in previous years, as it will reduce its capacity below 50%. At the Montjuïc Castle everything will be prepared to guarantee the health security of the spectators and the best visual and sound experience. "Parasite", the winning film, among other awards, the Oscar and the Palme d'Or, will open this year's edition, and viewers will also be able to enjoy hits such as "Joker", "Little Women", "North by northwest", "Grounddog day" or "Once upon a time in ... Hollywood" by Tarantino. In the author's cinema, Céline Sciamma's film "Portrait of a woman on fire" and "Els dies que vindran", by the Catalan Carlos Marques, stand out. The screen of this summer cycle will also project Latin American successes of the last decades, within the framework of the Grec nights. At the closing, as always, a surprise movie.

Desired landscapes
A geopolitical line called the border delimits two territories with different histories, constructions and situations. Across the border awaits a socially constructed image nuanced by each person. An image fed and distorted by the media in the non-trodden territories. "Desired Landscapes" explores this idea, the non-correlation between the representation of distance and the experience of proximity, using Walter Benjamin's analysis of the relationship between artwork and technology as a guide.

The Carillon of the Palau
The Carillon of the Palau de la Generalitat has 49 bronze bells, weighs 4,898 kilos and covers a tonal extension of four chromatic octaves. The number of bells gives it the category of concert carillon. It was built by the Petit & Fritsen house, in Aarle-Rixtel (Netherlands), and was inaugurated in 1976, a few months before the restoration of the Generalitat de Catalunya. This new carillon replaced the small carillon from 1927. The Carillon of the Palau offers auditions to listen to in the streets of the Gothic Quarter, and concerts that can be heard from inside the Palau de la Generalitat and, of course, from the streets around the Palau.

Fes Pedralbes
This year 2020, the Pedralbes Festival was canceled due to the uncertainty generated by COVID-19. However, the organizers have not wanted to leave us without music in the gardens of the Palacio de Pedralbes. Thus, the Fes Pedralbles was born, so that we continue "making Pedralbes" (fes means make in Catalan). In this alternative program we find national and international music legends such as Van Morrison or Paco Ibáñez; tribute bands that will connect us with the music of Abba or Queen, among others; bands with a long musical career in Catalonia such as the Companyia Elèctrica Dharma or Els Pets; and the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the oldest orchestra in Spain, which will perform the Symphony No. 40 and the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 23 (with Albert Guinovart as soloist) by Mozart, and soundtracks by movies like The Mission, Schindler's List or Death in Venice.
