The Festival Pedralbes of Barcelona is a summer outdoor music festival held in an unique place: the gardens of Palau Reial de Pedralbes. Casa Amatller + chocolate tasting
This unique building of Passeig de Gràcia was the residence of the chocolatier entrepeneur Antoni Amatller Costa (1851-1910), who traveled throughout Europe visiting chocolate factories and inherited the family business from his father and uncle before turning 25. Now, in addition to visiting the Casa Amatller you can taste its legendary chocolate at the end of your visit. A visit in which you will see knights and dragons and other mythical characters on the facade, and in which you can explore with an audio guide the majestic doors of the stately bedrooms with allegorical sculptures, the dining room, the dressing rooms and bathrooms, the music room and a room next to the kitchen.
Fifteenth edition of the World Press Photo the exhibition of the photographs which have received this prestigious international award for photojournalism. This photo exhibition, held at the CCCB, presents the award winning images of the 2019 edition. The exhibition is considered worldwide as the most important in the field of photojournalism and is known for the quality of their photographs, as well as the debate and criticism generated by each exposed work. The winning picture this year is "Crying Girl on the Border" by John Moore (USA).
The creative cluster Palo Alto Barcelona will host during the months of April, May and June three free sessions of silent films, made in collaboration with the director and scriptwriter David Trueba (Madrid, 1969) and musicalized by the collective Visual Phonic. For this first edition of MUT Palo Alto, the filmmaker has selected three great films from the 20s of the 20th century: "Sherlock, Jr.", by Buster Keaton; "The Freshman", by Harold Lloyd, and "The enemy of the blondes", by Alfred Hitchcock. After the session there will be vermouth for all attendees.
Art Photo Bcn is a photography festival specialized in promoting the inclusion of new creative values in the professional artistic circuit. In this festival they propose a multiple event with a double objective: to make known and strengthen the work of emerging photographers and galleries, and to make available to the public of Barcelona the most current photography. The main section of the 6th edition of the festival will be the emerging photography fair again, but Art Photo Bcn offers attendees other sections. Most festival activities will take place from May 3 to 5 at the Center Arts Santa Mònica.
