The magic hour in the Monastery of Pedralbes
An activity to relieve stress, relax, enjoy the tranquility of religious spaces, and to know the Gothic cloister considered the largest in the world that is preserved. Every Tuesday and Friday of summer, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Monastery of Pedralbes opens the doors of the cloister and offers a disconnection space.

Panopticon_Frontier 601
Panopticon_Frontier 601 by Nora Ancarola (Buenos Aires, 1955) is based on Michel Foucault's research of the seventies on disciplinary mechanisms from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The Ancarola project also explores the so-called “German shed”, euphemism with which the Gestapo bunker is called installed at the beginning of World War II at a strategic point in Portbou. The panoptism and the German shed takes the artist to the borders, or rather, to border militarization and the violence instituted by state power against the migrant population.

Closing of the Atlàntida Film Fest
On July 23, 24 and 25, we will enjoy three special sessions on the roof of the Piramidón, where you can see some of the premieres of this year's Atlantis Film Fest: "Only you", "Sons of Denmark" and "Stitches". The sessions are free although you have to reserve a place. From 9:00 p.m. you can discover this unique place with 360º views, which can be visited before the screening and where you can also have a beer while watching Barcelona. At 9:45 p.m., all the sessions begin.

Gandules
The Gandules edition of 2019 focuses on parallel universes, time travel or abolition of rational order. This year's cycle, curated by the film critic Jordi Costa, is inspired by the "Quantum" exhibition of the CCCB. And it is that the concepts derived from the third great revolution in the history of cosmology have infiltrated the field of popular culture, inspiring the creation of new imaginaries in fantasy genre fiction, and putting in crisis the traditional conception of all story model. This August, the CCCB's summer cinema proposes nine films in which concepts derived from the quantum revolution have inspired the creation of new imaginaries.
