The Fira de Santa Llúcia is the oldest and classic Christmas market in Barcelona (1786-2024, this year is its 238th anniversary). In its 215 stalls, which are installed on the Avenida de la Catedral in the Gothic Quarter just in front of the Cathedral, you will find handmade gifts, figures for nativity scenes, and lots of traditional Christmas decorative elements.

Christmas Market Solidari
Casa Capell will be the setting for the 13th Solidarity Christmas Market, organized by the Villavecchia Foundation. This very special Christmas market is extended for an extra day, going from three to four, and promises to captivate with its characteristic charm.
Almost a hundred stalls selling all kinds of figures and elements for nativity scenes, Christmas trees and plants, gifts, food products and sweets. Of course there is no shortage of churrerías and you will also find a chestnut and sweet potato stall.
Lighting the Christmas lights of Barcelona
The opening ceremony and party of the Barcelona Christmas Lights Switch-on will once again be held on Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona's most famous avenues. The opening show, details of which are not yet known, will be, as usual, free and open access.
A large interactive and luminous Christmas star in Sant Jaume Square
This year Christmas comes to the Plaza de Sant Jaume in a different way: no manger will be installed in the square but a large 20-pointed star, each of which will be 4 meters long. This work of 2.5 tons, made of iron, methacrylate and LED lights inside, will illuminate the facade of the City Hall and the Generalitat.

The traditional nativity scene in Barcelona
The Association of Nativity Scene Makers of Barcelona is once again building the traditional nativity scene of the city, but it will be installed in the courtyard of Carriages of the Barcelona City Hall instead of in the courtyard of the Frederic Marès Museum.
