Sitges International Film Festival
The 54th edition of the SITGES - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia will have as its common thread the figure of the werewolf, one of the main icons of the classic theme of the inner beast. The Festival will treat this theme as an image of the Festival, with a retrospective of titles and the publication of a book. The 2021 edition also comes with new proposals that are specified in a program made up of 169 films, which collect the female gaze on fantasy cinema and the debate on the delimitation of content and new forms of the genre. In the program we find the most anticipated premieres by the fans. Films like Julia Ducournau's explosive Titane, Cannes 2021 Palme d'Or; Lamb, Icelandic folk-horror filmmaker Valdimar Jóhannsson and starring Noomi Rapace; The Deep House by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, an underwater supernatural horror proposal; or the latest installment in the Halloween saga, Halloween Kills, by David Gordon Green, with a fireproof Jamie Lee Curtis.
