Escenari Joan Brossa is a cultural facility dedicated to performing arts whose main mission is to keep alive the spirit of Joan Brossa and her scenic poetry, as well as to internationalize the figure of Brossa and her theatrical work. As a production center, it disseminates interdisciplinary activities such as textual dramaturgy, stage poetry and dance, and pays special attention to paratheatrical performing arts: magic, circus, puppets and Chinese shadows, and cabaret. Escenari Joan Brossa is also a forum for reflection on the relationship between contemporary scenic and paratheatrical arts and society
The Santa Eulàlia festivities are organized in honor of Santa Eulàlia, co-patron of Barcelona. The days 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of February there are parades through the streets and squares of Ciutat Vella with giants and big heads, eagles, lions, dance groups, devils, dragons and other characters related to the festive tradition of Barcelona. And of course with castellers in the Plaza de Sant Jaume. The program of popular culture is wide. There is also an exhibition of giants, open days and activities in the City Hall, museums and cultural centers, and the Lali Jove, a specific program for young people and children.
The Llum BCN festival, held for the second year in the Poblenou quarter, is a circuit of luminous installations in which art and technology meet. For three nights Llum BCN will transform the urban landscape of Poblenou. Large buildings of last generation, chimneys of old factories, industrial buildings and some plots will change thanks to the expressive capacity of light. And it's not just about something aesthetic, beautiful. This festival is conceived as a great laboratory for outdoor experimentation. It shows us the work of artists, designers and architects from around the world who are exploring the possibilities offered by new techniques such as dynamic lighting, interactive environments, large-scale projection.

The musical of FlashDance is a plea for self-improvement and It explains how important it is to keep dreams alive and make them come true. Like Alex Owens did ... that poor 18-year-old girl, when she entered the prestigious dance school at Shipley Dance Academy.
