The Colmado Quílez is an institution in Barcelona, a historic 200 m2 shop that opened in 1908 as a confectionery and later became a grocery store. The Colmado Quílez was the first store in Barcelona that imported Scotch whiskey or in which you could buy condensed milk. A part of the current name (Colmado Quílez) comes from 1940 when two partners, Julián Quílez and José Pícara, acquired the establishment. Lafuente was added to the name in 1974 when the store was bought by Andrés Lafuente. The Lafuente Group was founded in Barcelona in 1951. Since then, three generations of the Lafuente family have offered the best brands of wines, spirits, sparkling wines and national and international distillates.
