The Fabra Observatory, owned by the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona, is a modernist work designed by Josep Domenech i Estapà and built in 1904 in the Collserola mountain range. Since then, it has been dedicated to the study of astronomy, meteorology and seismology.
What will you do during the visit?
You will visit the inside of the building, while the expert guides explain the details of its history and the main members who worked and cared for the Fabra Observatory, enjoy a lecture, the views of Barcelona from the outside of the dome and you can observe the moon, planets and even asteroids, depending on the day of the year.
Observations
Observations are held every Friday and Saturday.
Fridays

- Includes: Guided tour of the museum and the rooms of the modernist building (auditorium, meridian telescope and office) of the Fabra Observatory, lecture, projection of a video on astronomy, visit to the outside of the dome, observation with the telescope and welcome glass of cava or fruit juice.
