"After the end of the world" is an exhibition about the Earth that revolves around two axes: the situation of the planet in 2017 after the irreversible impact it has suffered after two centuries of human intervention in natural systems; and a projection on how we will reach the world of the second half of the twenty-first century, taking into account our responsibility as a society with future generations.
In the exhibition, artists, philosophers, novelists, playwrights, architects, scientists, speculative designers, polluted rivers, satellites, objects, plants, sand mountains, marine animals ... "work together" to imagine scenes, tell stories and build survival strategies for the near future. The result is a set of eight immersive installations that offer us a hypnotic experience that tells us of the trauma given the magnitude of the crisis, but also of the opportunity for change and the urgency of a pact between generations.
In addition to the installations, the exhibition consists of a base of participatory experimentation and action in the public space of the city of Barcelona (district of Sant Martí), and the creation of a "Ministry of the Future" based on the politics of the very long term, to investigate the conditions of inequality and temporality and the different magnitudes of the crisis.
