Twelfth edition of the Barcelona Beer Festival, the largest event in southern Europe for craft beer lovers. The beers are presented in a large bar with shooters in which the 400 beers that are presented in this edition are rotating. You will also find stands that correspond to collaborations with other international festivals.
The Barcelona Beer Festival also organizes various activities (tastings, confessions, debates, meetings with brewers, concerts and much more), professional conferences (InnBrew) and the Barcelona Beer Challenge, the biggest competition in which the best beers brewed during the year are awarded. And if you have any doubts about which beers to try, the Beer Informers of the organization will help you choose. They are easy to find, dressed in a yellow vest.
About the 2024 edition of Barcelona Beer Festival
The Barcelona Beer Festival will feature a varied selection of beers, highlighting innovation, transgression, ecology, success and novelty. Of the 400 beers available, approximately 40% will be of Catalan origin, 30% from the rest of Spain and another 30% international. More than 100 breweries will participate, highlighting the Catalan breweries in a space supported by Prodeca. The iconic thirty-puller bar returns, with an emphasis on emerging Catalan breweries. In addition, there will be stands of renowned Catalan, Spanish and international breweries. The presence of Quebec and Polish beers will be highlighted, as well as a Basque gastronomic area with craft beer, cider and traditional dishes. As a novelty, a local wine stand will be included. The festival seeks to promote local sustainable and artisanal products.
This edition will highlight local gastronomy with GastroShow, including renowned zero kilometer restaurants with traditional and contemporary cuisine proposals paired with beers from the event. The Untappd app will be the technological partner, offering detailed information on the 400 beers available. A collection of beer NFTs will be introduced in collaboration with Gifme.Beer, allowing attendees to collect exclusive beer NFTs.
The professional section, InnBrew, will offer a brewing convention for industry professionals, while the Barcelona Beer Challenge will award the best craft beers in the world, beers that can be tasted during the festival. It will include educational activities, tastings and pairings led by experts such as Jordi Esteve and Carlota Claver. In addition, there will be live music with a black music concert and DJ sessions.
