The Palau de la Música Catalana, owned by the Associació Orfeó Català and home to the Orfeó Català, aims to promote music, with special attention to choral singing. It also promotes the dissemination of cultural heritage and knowledge, the promotion of Catalan culture, and the consolidation of social cohesion. The Association carries out actions to achieve its objectives through the Fundació Orfeó Català-Palau de la Música Catalana, which manages all the activities of the choirs of the Orfeó and the Palau de la Música Catalana. One of its most visible activities is the organization of classical music concerts, which is reflected each year in the Palau de la Música season. But this modernist building designed by the Barcelona architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, also hosts concerts for the whole family.
The Palau's family shows are designed so that music interacts with other forms of artistic expression, such as dance, theater, visual arts and poetry, thus enhancing the curiosity, sensitivity, imagination and creativity of both young and old.
