Barcelona will host for the second time the Extreme Sailing Series, an extreme sailing competition near the coast that travels 8 countries on 3 continents for 10 months. On the occasion of the event (the third act of the season), the city will be filled with free activities around the sail and the public can follow the show from the Village or from the beach of Sant Sebastià, in an accessible way and totally free. This competition attracts some of the best sailors from around the world competing in flying catamarans over hydrofoils GC32 in short and fast series. The show on the water is completed by the Flying Phantom catamaran fleet, which will compete every morning for the 2018 championship of this class that is being played in the European Acts of the Extreme Sailing Series.
