The Picasso, the photographer's gaze exhibition is a trip to Pablo Picasso's universe through photography. The photographs of this exhibition have been selected from the personal archives of the artist from Malaga. You will be able to contemplate more than one hundred photographic period prints and unpublished glass plates. The tour is organized in chronological sections and thematic approaches that include important and unusual works: sculptures, paintings and drawings that dialogue with the photographs. You will see from a Picasso "playing" to be a reporter for a summer, the use of his image as an icon or the self-portraits inspired and playful. Picasso always maintains a complex and intense relationship with photography and photographers who let him into his creative intimacy.
A double vision
The look is an external eye that captures, in part, what others cannot see, but in the case of Picasso, it is also the artist's vision of his own image and artistic practice. This photographic walk from workshop to workshop tries to show the multidisciplinary richness of Picassian work thanks to that double vision, in which experimentation is the most important, regardless of the technique and support used.
