"The Science of Pixar" is a fascinating exhibit that offers visitors a unique glimpse into what goes on behind the screen, allowing them to discover the creative process used in the making of Pixar films. At the start of their immersion, visitors will be greeted with an exciting video that chronicles the process Pixar uses to turn a simple idea into a magnificent film. They will then be able to enter the exhibition and explore, at their own pace, the eight sections detailing Pixar's production process.
Each of these eight areas, which include modeling, rigging, surfaces, sets and cameras, animation, simulation, lighting and rendering, offers a complete experience. Visitors will have the opportunity to digitally interact with real-world challenges that the Pixar production team faces in their work. They will also be able to participate in physical interactives that provide tactile experiences to better understand the fascinating virtual world created by Pixar.
The exhibit also features captivating video stories in which Pixar employees share valuable information about the complex challenges the company has overcome during the development of its films. In addition, interviews with Pixar's talented employees are featured, highlighting the diversity of careers needed and broadening visitors' perspective on what it's like to work in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) field.
