Belong to sea, a Barcelona startup that develops activities to promote sustainability, has launched the project "For a sea with more life" that will be held once a month, in different neighborhoods of Barcelona. Its objective is to teach everything that can be achieved from the waste that is generated in our homes. From its reuse, recycling and also offering the most sustainable alternatives to replace those waste that are more polluting or difficult to recycle.

In the events of For a sea with more life (and less plastics), recycling has a prize. The operation and dynamics is very simple: each month there will be a waste theme, attendees carry recyclable waste (plastic, aluminum cans, glass, cardboard or electronic waste) that are identified and weighed; these are exchanged for local foods and items committed to the environment. At the end of the action, all waste is classified and transported to the corresponding recycling plant, and the income generated will be reinvested in projects with a positive impact on the neighborhood. This initiative wants to send the message that the circular economy is possible, and that real change begins in our homes.
