Cabosanroque, the artist collective formed by Laia Torrents and Roger Aixut, presents an original reading that is halfway between a theatrical piece and an exhibition. Their proposal focuses on three key figures of Catalan literature: Joan Brossa, Jacint Verdaguer and Mercè Rodoreda. Through a trilogy of immersive installations and sound passages, viewers are immersed in an intimate encounter with artifice.
Aspart of the Grec 2023 Festival, the CCCB (Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona) presents the complete trilogy for the first time. The sequence begins with "No me hizo Joan Brossa" (2016), a fantastic object opera that focuses on the landscape. It continues with "Demonios" (2020), based on Verdaguer's texts and dealing with possession, and culminates with "Flores y viajes" (2023), a harrowing piece about war and women inspired by the work of Mercè Rodoreda.
