When Picasso and Picabia were little known, the press often confused them by the similarity of their names. This anecdote was perhaps the harbinger of an ambiguous relationship between two apparently antagonistic painters in their way of understanding art. In the first stage of their career they exhibited in the same gallery (1904) but their trajectories crossed in few occasions during that stage. This exhibition, however, reveals for the first time the numerous points in common of their work and the crossed histories of these two great contemporary painters, as well as their relationship and attitude towards the same changing reality.

Expominer, the International Exhibition of Minerals, Fossils and Jewellery Show is the largest event held in southern Europe to buy, trade and sell precious and semi-precious valuable stones, meteorites, unusual minerals, authentic fossils and gems of colors and varied shapes. In addition, Expominer offers informative talks and workshops on topical issues in the field of mineralogy and geosciences in general. This year's edition, the 40th, has as its motto "Minerals and fossils, source of sustainability and culture". As for the workshops, we highlight the one that will explain the secrets of the funerary wake of Vinebre, which has allowed to know many aspects of the life of the ancient Romans in this area of southern Catalonia. Other workshops, no less interesting, will show how certain minerals become superconductors, what is radioactivity or the phenomenon of diffraction.
Soundie Music Video Awards, el primer festival internacional de videoclips de Barcelona, té com a objectius donar visibilitat al gran treball dels professionals (realitzadors, músics, artistes i professionals de la indústria musical i audiovisual) que fan possible la producció de videoclips, crear un espai per a la promoció de noves propostes, ser una eina de connexió entre els professionals del sector per compratir propostes i generar nous projectes i, finalment, oferir cursos i tallers perquè els nous talents puguin formar-se. L'esdeveniment, en el qual es poden presenciar actuacions en directe, es tanca repassant el millor de la producció anual de videoclips en una cerimònia de lliurament de premis.

Loop is a platform dedicated to the study and the promotion of the moving image, created in 2003. Since its start it offers a careful selection of video-related contents from innovative perspectives. It develops projects with an international community of artists, curators, gallery owners, collectors and heads of institutions, with the aim of exploring the possibilities for video and film in the discourse of contemporary art. There will be a total of eleven days of activities, free and paid, distributed throughout the city in museums, foundations, temporary exhibition centers, libraries and other spaces.
