La Barceloneta festival, outstanding activities
The Festival of La Barceloneta is celebrated around September 29, the day of San Miguel, and combines tradition and culture of the seaside neighborhood. Highlights include sardana auditions, singing habaneras on the beach, correfocs, and parades with the giants Pep Barceló and María la Nieta. The famous "pasacalle del cañón" is very popular among children, as a cannon shoots candy. In addition, the neighbors decorate some streets and organize activities such as music and dances. The festival is a reflection of the historical identity of La Barceloneta.
Bravas Fest Barcelona
The second edition of the Mahou Bravas Fest Barcelona arrives, where you can find the best patatas bravas in Barcelona in one place. During a weekend, emblematic restaurants of the city will cook their bravas and other tapas in Poble Espanyol.
Solidarity concert for the support of families with Alzheimer's
The Palau de la Música will once again host a benefit concert organized by the Barcelona Association of Family Members with Malalts d'Alzheimer (AFAB). The concert will be performed by the JOSB (Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona) which will perform a varied reportorio.
