New Year's Eve, The Chimes of New Year
This year there will be no show in Monjtuïc, but there will be fireworks throughout the city. Coinciding with the twelve chimes, which can be heard from everywhere, twelve glowing palm trees will be thrown in each of the ten districts of Barcelona. These decentralized bells and the launching of the palm trees will be the prelude to a great fireworks show that will be visible from most of the city. Fireworks will be launched for 15 minutes at a rhythm and height sufficient for the audience to enjoy a spectacular view even from afar. So this year, go out to your balcony or terrace, look out the window or go up to the roof of your building. If you can't do any of that, remember that the show will be broadcast live on television.

Barcelona’s Christmas Festival in Plaça de Catalunya
Plaça de Catalunya, the heart of Barcelona, has become, as usual in recent years, a setting where there will be Christmas activities for all ages. Concerts, shows and other activities will be organized throughout the day. In this edition the events will be held by sections of the day: Family Mornings, Cultural Afternoons and Universal Nights. There will be 20 projects of music, literature, performing arts and visual arts projects that will develop more than 100 activities in all time slots. In addition, two actions will be present throughout the day or at various times of the day: the Scenographic Project and the audiovisuals motivated by the World Capital of Sustainable Food 2021.

Christmas at Port Vell
Port Vell celebrates Christmas for the second consecutive year, this time at the Moll de Bosch i Alsina, better known as Moll de la Fusta, which will be transformed into an avenue of light. The careful Christmas decoration will unite the land and the sea, and its main element, as happened in the first edition, will be a spectacular 31-meter-high led tree, the tallest in Catalonia. Every afternoon a light show will be held to the rhythm of music.

OVNI (Unidentified Video Observatory)
OVNI (Unidentified Video Observatory) came to light in 1994 and, since then, it is a research project that focuses on the analysis and criticism of contemporary culture. Its tool is video and one of its peculiarities is that it is created by video authors and not by managers or curators. OVNI is an author project about authors who use the independent videographic medium: the priority is creative practice.
