The Marula Café Barcelona is a modern club in Barcelona to listen to live music and to dance. As they say, music and dance are the superfoods that nourish and give life to Marula Café. Every week, from Wednesday to Sunday, they schedule sessions of DJs (residents and guests), jam sessions and concerts of musical styles whose mission, as you may have noticed, is to make you dance and enjoy to the fullest. In the heart of Barcelona, in one of the liveliest streets of Barcelona, the rhythms of Black sounds, funk, jazz, soul, bogaloo, house, disco, old school, beats, swing, rare grooves, hiphop, afrobeat and latin await you.
Fourth edition of the Vespres d'Hivern of the University of Barcelona which is committed on this occasion to a completely feminine program. We will enjoy four concerts on the four Friday of February in the Auditorium of the Historical Building of the University of Barcelona. On February 1st we will have the sophisticated polyphony of Tarta Relena; on February 8 we will be accompanied by the instrumental and contemporary sensitivity of Marta Cascales Alimbau; February 15 will be the time of the experimental folk song by Escarteen Sisters; and on February 22 will be the turn of the electronic and emotional flow of Awwz.
The Chinese Celebration of the New Year is this year on Saturday 2nd February with a big parade in the streets of Eixample and Born quarter, between Estación del Norte and the Arc de Triomf. The parade will be another year the main event of the celebration in Barcelona of the most important holiday on the Chinese calendar, which this year is dedicated to Pig (we will enter the year 4717 that according to the Chinese zodiacal calendar corresponds to the Pig). The parade, which will bring together many Chinese and Catalan entities, will begin at 11:30 am, and between 12:30 and 20:00 there will be a gastronomic and cultural fair, and shows on a stage located on the Lluís Companys promenade.
Tribute to the Barcelona soprano in which some of the most outstanding voices in the history of the lyric and old friends who have not wanted to miss the appointment will participate. Prominent names such as Josep Carreras, Joan Pons, Jaume Aragall, Al Bano, Paata Burchuladze, Begoña Alberdi, María Gallego and José Bros, among others, will sing at an evening that will be directed by Lluís Pasqual, close friend of the Caballé family, and that for the musical direction will count on Guillermo Garci'a Calvo. Other great figures from the world of opera who can not travel to Barcelona on the day of the event will be present in the form of audiovisual testimony: Plácido Domingo, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Roberto Alagna, Juan Diego Flórez, Teresa Berganza, Richard Bonynge, Ainhoa Arteta, Giancarlo del Monaco, Carlos Álvarez, James Conlon, Valery Gergiev, Pretty Yende, Nadine Sierra and Levy Sekgapane.
Let's call it (g)astronomical event. The definition: event in which astronomy is combined with gastronomy. That's what it's about "Visit to the Fabra observatory and dinner with stars", but not only that, because the Fabra Observatory, where this unique experience takes place, offers breathtaking views of Barcelona. You will look up, towards the stars, putting your eye on the telescope, but you will also look down, without a telescope. The illuminated city, complete, fascinating, because the terrace of the Fabra Observatory is 360º and the observatory is in the Tibidado mountain, at 415 meters above sea level.
