In this new edition the Pulpada moves to the Fishermen's Association and doubles the gastronomic commitment: the Fishermen's Association will provide the guaranteed seafood product and the same sailors who will bring it on their boats will participate in its preparation. Although you can walk, if you want to take a short walk by sea, the organizers will have prepared a golondrina to take you to the dock. It is free both the outward and return until full capacity of 120 people.
The biennial of thought takes place in 88 spaces in Barcelona. A week to discuss the role of current cities with the great challenges of contemporary society. But beyond the debate, this Biennial is also a celebration of the human diversity of cities, of the histories and worlds that form them. The cities are also welcoming spaces and, sometimes, shelters, and organizational structures of great transformative and creative power. These ingredients make them a space for freedom, thought and action
Blanc Festival began its official journey in 2009 in Vilanova i la Geltrú. Its origin, however, is in 2003, the year in which Octubre del Disseny was held, also in Vilanova, and coincided with the Year of Design in Barcelona. In 2016 the festival moved to Barcelona. In this festival dedicated to graphic design and professional creativity you can attend conferences, master classes and other activities. The Blanc has as main axes the recognition of emerging talent (for which the CREAM price is awarded) and that of the great masters and pioneers of design in Spain. The past, the present and the future of graphic design.
Between 18 and 28 October, the Filmoteca de Catalunya celebrates the 18th edition of the International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival of Barcelona. The Mercat de Mercats fair is back. The Avinguda de la Catedral will be filled with fresh market products and activities related to markets and gastronomy. This 9th edition is focused on sustainable and local food, and will make known what the world of gastronomy and food shops can contribute to the environment. This year we can say that they will also bring us other not so fresh products (or maybe yes), even if it does not sound good. For the first time there will be non-food market stalls: Els Encants - Fira de Bellcaire, the Encants de Sant Antoni and the Dominical de Sant Antoni.
