La Noche de San Juan (St. John's Night) - Verbenas and Bonfires
The night of San Juan is a Christian holiday of pagan origin with bonfires, fireworks and firecrackers. Although celebrated the night of 23rd to 24th of June, it is associated with the summer solstice (June 21) and pagan rites, with bonfires, sought to increase the power of the sun on its way to the winter solstice. Liceu a la fresca
Liceu a la fresca aims to spread music and opera to expand the operatic culture of the citizens. The bases of this social project of the Barcelona opera are the dissemination, demystification and accessibility to this musical genre.
