La Casa de los Entremeses brings together in a free exhibition historical and innovative elements of the festive imagery of the city. The exhibition consists of fifty figures representing giants, dwarfs, big heads, bestiary and puppets, which can be seen parading during the year in popular festivals in Barcelona such as Santa Eulàlia or La Mercè.

The Offside Fest, already consolidated in the international circuit of football documentary festivals whose objective is to understand sport as a cultural phenomenon, will once again present a careful selection of works in two sections, the official competition and the Fuera de Juego (offside) section, in which classics of the genre are recovered.
The Lapsus festival presents two novelties this year: it will last two days instead of one and it will have an evening extension in the LAUT venue of Poble Sec. The first day will be dedicated to the pioneers of electronic music and on stage you will be able to follow the performances of the German Hans-Joachim Roedelius, legend of kraut; from the North American visionary producer and father of the punk sound Craig Leon; and the experimental Spanish-Norwegian duo N.M.O. The second day, 12 hours of uninterrupted music.
This year's edition pays homage to the authors of the comic, and especially to their work during the last quarter of the 20th century. There will be new spaces and new activities, and the future of the sector will be enhanced with the Comic Kids space, a large area that prioritizes the dissemination of comic books among children. The 36 Barcelona Comic Fair expands the area of authors exclusively for comic book authors with works published in magazines, comic books, self-published books, albums, and other media (other than fanzines), as well as cartoonists who work usually for agencies. The authors will be able to sell their original pages, sketches and self-published works directly to the public. The exhibitions will again be of great importance in this edition.
The seventh edition of the Mixtur Festival, Barcelona's interdisciplinary research and creation music festival, takes place in Fabra and Coats - Fábrica de Creación, the Institut Français and L'Auditori de Barcelona. There will be nine days of festival in which we will enjoy 20 concerts, 3 sound installations, 12 conferences and master classes, 4 pedagogical projects and 7 premieres of works by some of the most important artists of the international scene of new music. La Cupula Music and Sidecar collaborate with the objective of making the public aware of the quality and variety of national music scene as well as provide an opportunity for high visibility to local emerging bands.
Forever King of Pop, considered "The best show in the world about Michael Jackson" according to the Jackson Family, will be in Barcelona for a limited time. Joseph Jackson, Michael's father, came to Spain to see the show and was impressed. From then on, the Jackson Family Foundation, the foundation created by the artist's parents, adopted the show as the official of the Foundation throughout the world.

In this year's edition, El Grec Festival de Barcelona 2018 offers an extraordinary special program to mark the 50th edition of the Barcelona International Jazz Festival. There will be five concerts between the 6th and the 25th of July: four at BARTS (Snarky Puppy, Cory Henry, R + R = NOW and Cécile McLorin Salvant) and one at the amphitheater of Montjuïc (Pat Metheny), jointly programmed by the two festivals from Barcelona.
