"The best design of the year" is the FAD's annual exhibition that brings together the most outstanding products, projects and works of art of the year in industrial design, graphic design and visual communication, architecture and interior design (this year there will be more than 400 winning projects or finalists for different awards). The exhibition is organized into three thematic areas.
The three thematic areas of "The best design of the year"
- Art: finalist works of the 13th edition of the FAD Art Awards that promote contemporary artistic creation, and recognize the dialogue between concept, story, materials and technique.
- Architecture and Interior Design: finalist and selected works of the 65th FAD Awards for Architecture and Interior Design and the Habitàcola Awards for architecture and design students. The FAD Awards in this category reward the best works of peninsular architecture.
- Graphic design and visual communication: includes the works awarded in the ADG Laus Awards carried out by both professionals and students. They are the annual barometer of the situation of the profession.
A family activity
In this year's edition, the exhibition includes a proposal to do as a family. It is a free dynamic game, which is aimed at children up to 12 years old, so that they discover in a playful way what good design is and what its values are.
Audio guide
One of the notable novelties of this edition is that an audio guide is made available to visitors to understand the keys to the three areas of the exhibition in a way that is enjoyable for all audiences. To access the audio guide you only have to scan a QR code with your mobile phone (it is recommended to bring headphones).
