The Casa Batlló Mapping has established itself as one of the most outstanding cultural events in Barcelona, attracting thousands of attendees every year. In 2024, the mapping brought together more than 95,000 people, reaffirming its position as a must-see event. This year, on February 1 and 2, 2025, the modernist façade will once again be transformed into a vibrant canvas with Arborescent, a work created by acclaimed Italian artist Quayola.

Arborescent
Quayola, renowned for his innovative approach that fuses tradition and technology, presents in Arborescent a tribute to nature as a source of inspiration. The mapping uses algorithms to generate tree formations that branch out and dialogue with the architectural elements of Casa Batlló. These botanical structures, moved by an "algorithmic wind", paint the façade with dynamic colors and shades, creating an immersive spectacle.
The piece features an original soundtrack composed by Quayola himself, which mixes traditional instrumentation with music generated by custom algorithms. This dialogue between the organic and the digital elevates the mapping to a unique visual and sonic experience.
The Heritage of Tomorrow
As part of The Heritage of Tomorrow art program, Casa Batlló reaffirms its commitment to innovation by inviting contemporary artists like Quayola to reinterpret Gaudí's legacy. This event is more than a public art exhibition: it is a tribute to transformative creativity and the eternal power of nature as inspiration.
For those who attend, mapping will be projected every 30 minutes, from 7:45pm to 10:45pm, in a free admission show. In addition, exclusive Arborescent-inspired products have been launched, available at the Simbòlic store. Undoubtedly, this edition promises to be an unforgettable celebration of the fusion between nature, art and technology.
