From April 16 to 30, the Ancient Lights Festival takes place in three of the most fascinating medieval buildings in Barcelona. The event will have six concerts, in which old music will be presented. the Basilica of Sant Just and Sant Pastor, the Church of Sant Felip Neri and the Monastery of Sant Pau del Camp will be the places where the concerts will be held. The Ensemble O Vos Omnes, under the direction of Xavier Pastrana, will be in charge of the inaugural concert. The formation will perform six motets by Johann Sebastian Bach. The festival will also conclude with the Ensemble O Vos Omnes which will perform some of the most important works of Mateu Fletxa el Joven, and two of his contemporaries, the great Orlando di Lasso and the theorist and madrigalist, born in Vicenza, Nicola Vicentino.
