The Cinema Maldà was inaugurated in 1945 and is one of the oldest cinemas in Barcelona. It is located in what had been the Palace of Barón Maldà, which also houses the Maldà shopping galleries. The cinema was closed from 2003 to 2007 for security reasons. During 2006 a renovation was carried out that revealed, behind the screen, a chapel built during the Spanish civil war. After the reopening, the cinema only offered Indian cinema from the Bollywood factory, but since 2010 it has screened re-release and premiere films in their original versions.
The main feature of Cine Maldà is that the ticket price allows you to see the movies scheduled for a whole day. And now, in addition, you can buy the ticket with a discount through Atrápalo.
