La Mercè - Barcelona's Festa Major

22 to 25 September

This year La Mercè extends to new areas of the city such as the Parc de la Trinitat or Fabra i Coats and especially encourages the participation of artists and residents of the city, with activities like holding a football game danced. Among the musical performances of this year most important are: Lloyd Cole, The Goon Sax, Kiko Veneno, Baab Maal and Great sticker, and the guest city is Paris. Among technology initiatives, always present in La Merce, it highlights the event that will be held simultaneously in three spaces: Fabra i Coats, Parc de la Ciutadella and the CCCB, which will be virtually connected through the internet to create a unique and interactive spectacle in real time.
