After the end of the world

"After the end of the world" is an exhibition about the Earth that revolves around two axes: the situation of the planet in 2017 after the irreversible impact it has suffered after two centuries of human intervention in natural systems; and a projection on how we will reach the world of the second half of the twenty-first century, taking into account our responsibility as a society with future generations. In "After the end of the world" you will see a set of eight immersive installations like that of the German documentary theater company Rimini Protokoll, which develops a dramatic experience on the winning and losing species in the climate crisis, or the studio of fiction design Superflux (IN / UK) that takes us to a 2050 apartment on a planet where droughts and hurricanes have changed the way we eat; they all offer us a hypnotic experience that speaks of the trauma before the magnitude of the crisis, but also of the opportunity for change and the urgency of a pact between generations.
Asian Film Festival Barcelona - AFFBCN
From November 2 to 12
Fifth edition of the festival specialized in Asian cinema organized by Casa Asia. This year, more than one hundred feature films will be screened in three main venues: Cinemes Girona, CaixaForum and Filmoteca de Catalunya, and in four sub-venues: Hotel Generator, Museum of Immigration, Soho House in Barcelona and the Singuerlin Library in Santa Coloma de Gramanet. Casa Asia offers us an increasingly wide and geographically diverse programming with 25 Asian countries represented in the 2017 edition. The AFFBCN wants to become an international reference event and build bridges between other festivals that have an outstanding Asian presence in its programming.
