The European Research Night is held annually in more than 300 cities in 30 countries across Europe. It aims to bring, in a simple and fun way, research, innovation and its protagonists, scientists, to the public. All kinds of public, from schools, families and children to young people or adults of all ages, will be able to learn about science in their territory by participating in different activities such as workshops, talks, shows, experiments, games and astronomical observations.
About the 2024 edition
This year's Barcelona Research Night will offer interactive activities for all ages, highlighting the Speed Dating with researchers, where the public will be able to ask questions to scientists in a dynamic format. In addition, the Research Fair will allow live experiments with local research.
There will also be workshops, scientific storytelling for families, and events such as the Late Show, where researchers will offer humorous micro-talks. The day will culminate with a music and science show, which will show the relationship between art and technology.
The European Research Night is a European project of scientific dissemination promoted by the European Commission in the framework of the Marie Sktodowsca-Curie actions of the Horizon 2020 program.
