From July 31 to September 1, 2024, Poble Espanyol will be transformed into an epicenter of music and fun with the celebration of its Nights Live. This year, the event is completely revamped to offer a fresh and engaging experience, with four different musical cycles spanning blues, pop, rock and rumba. More than 25 bands will perform in a spectacular outdoor space, complemented by gastronomic options, refreshing cocktails and DJ sessions before and after each concert.
A varied and renewed Music Program
Blues On The Rocks - Cocktails & Music (Wednesdays)
July 31 marks the beginning of the Live Nights with Blues On The Rocks, a series of concerts organized in collaboration with Capibola Blues. This series will feature prestigious blues, swing and jazz bands, and will take place every Wednesday through August 28. In addition to enjoying the music, attendees will be able to enjoy a sophisticated selection of cocktails prepared by the Spanish cocktail champion, Luis Bustamante, who will pair each concert in a unique way. The Capibola Blues association, the oldest in Spain, also participates as organizer of the Barcelona Blues Festival.
Mahou Rock&Grill (Thursday and last Saturday of August)
From August 1, Thursdays and the last Saturday of August will be dedicated to Mahou Rock&Grill, a festival celebrating its eighth edition with tributes to legendary bands such as Metallica, AC/DC, Guns n' Roses, Queen and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The concerts will be accompanied by hamburgers, barbecued ribs and a wide variety of Mahou beers. In addition, the RockPelsXuklis association will be present to raise funds for children with cancer. On August 31 there will be a benefit concert with tributes to Paul Stanley of Kiss and Helloween.
The 90's Queens' Nights (Friday)
Starting August 2, Fridays will be a gateway to the past with The 90's Queens' Nights, a series dedicated to the iconic voices and bands of 90's pop. Tribute bands to Madonna, ABBA, Cher, La Oreja de Van Gogh and Mecano will keep attendees singing and dancing. After the concerts, the Village space will remain open to continue the party with the most memorable hits of the era.
Fritanga! - Tapeo and Rumba (Sunday)
Sundays will be rumba territory with the Fritanga! Tapeo y Rumba, a complete experience in a stunning natural setting. With the most casual and festive rumba, attendees can enjoy summer red wine, mojitos and a variety of tapas. Renowned bands of the genre such as Vergüenza Ajena, Muchacho y los Sobrinos, and Piratas Rumbversions, along with collaborations with artists such as Sheila Quero of Maruja Limón, will make the nights unforgettable.
Más Que Música: a complete experience
Activities will not be limited to concerts in the venue's marquee. The Village space will offer an experience that goes beyond live music, with gastronomic options and ambient music before and after the concerts.
