Gastronomic Forum Barcelona 2024, organized by Alimentaria Exhibitions and Fira de Barcelona, hopes to repeat the record numbers of 2023. With most exhibitors returning and around 50 new companies joining, the event will see the participation of key brands such as DAMM, BonÀrea, Cuinats Jotri and Makro, as well as new exhibitors such as Bidfood and Grupo Borras. In addition to large foodservice companies, small agri-food producers from Catalonia and other regions will participate, promoted by institutions such as Prodeca and the Xunta de Galicia.
What's new: Signature Pizza Competition
One of the novelties of this edition is the participation of the pizza sector, with the first Pizza de Autor Contest that will reward the creativity and skill of the best pizza makers in Spain. Bakery and pastry products will also be highlighted, which will have a relevant role in the show.
Rethinking Catering: The Thematic Axes
Catalan Cuisine and Transforming Power
The event's program, under the slogan 'Rethinking catering', will focus on three axes: Catalan cuisine, The transformative power of cuisine and The generation of the 90s. The event will feature presentations by renowned chefs such as Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas of Disfrutar (3* Michelin). In addition, inclusive and disruptive proposals will be explored, such as those of José Polo and Toño Pérez of Atrio.
Young Talents
The forum will also put the spotlight on young chefs under the age of 35 who are part of the generation of the 90s, some already recognized with Michelin stars, who will share their vision in presentations and showcookings.

Traditional Awards
The event will host several traditional competitions and awards, such as the Josep Mercader Awards, the Best Panettone in Spain, and the Favorite Dish of the Catalans.

The 2023 edition brought together more than 350 companies and 18,500 professionals, consolidating itself as an essential event for the foodservice and sustainable gastronomy sector.
