An initiative of the Barcelona Hotel Guild so that all Barcelonans can enjoy the hotels, and specifically one of its most emblematic and ideal spaces for the pre-summer season: the terraces. The 12th edition of the Week of the terraces arrives with 160 free activities.

Barcelona's Jardins Pedralbes Festival, an open-air summer music festival, was held for 10 editions at the Palau Reial de Pedralbes. Now renamed Alma Festival Barcelona, it is held at Poble Espanyol. This event stands out for presenting internationally and nationally renowned artists. In 2024, it will feature performances by Sheryl Crow, Glen Hansard, Queens of the Stone Age, Alice Cooper, and Hozier, among others. The festival continues to be a cultural reference in Barcelona.

Casa Batlló and Sónar, two major cultural institutions in Barcelona, have teamed up to offer an innovative music and visual arts experience created with reworked music by The Chemical Brothers and visuals by Smith & Lyall. The installation has been produced with pixels, high-end audio and contributions from top artists, creators and engineers. More than a space, we could speak of a blank canvas open to maximum creativity that transports attendees to the heart of the music.

After its successful opening in Madrid and recent opening in Sao Paulo, Dalí Challenge, a creation of ArtDidaktik under license and supervision of the Fundació Gala Salvador Dalí, arrives in Barcelona, promoted and produced by SeedsXR, as part of a worldwide circuit that will span the five continents and transport visitors to the universe of the surrealist genius Salvador Dalí.

This year's Grec, directed by Cesc Casadesús, closes a journey begun in 2017, exploring the essence of the festival and celebrating eight-year partnerships. Prominent international artists such as Lola Arias perform at Teatre Lliure and Mercat de les Flors, while Teatre Grec is reserved for local talent. The opening with Silvia Pérez Cruz features the participation of several friendly artists. The musical program includes concerts at the Teatre Grec and free performances in the gardens of the TNC. In theater and hybrid scene, from updated classics to contemporary plays are presented on various stages in Barcelona. The Grec Ciutat offers a variety of proposals in Barcelona's theaters, including works such as "Elizabeth Costello" by Krzysztof Warlikowski and "What the Foc?!" by Gerardo Salinas and Junior Mthombeni. OH!ÓPERA at the Gran Teatre del Liceu presents small-format operas, while Catalan classics and new creations are included in various venues such as the Centre de les Artes Lliures and the Antic Teatre. In addition, the MNAC and the Tàpies Foundation exhibit art installations of interest.

After passing through cities such as Rome, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Naples, New York, London and Atlanta, the Balloon Museum's traveling art arrives in Barcelona with the exhibition "Pop Air". This dynamic and interactive exhibition explores inflatable art through 17 creations. This is the first exhibition dedicated to inflatable art, featuring large installations, inflatable sculptures and interactive works, focused on exploring all aspects of air.

Considered one of the best live bands in the world today, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds announce their first European tour since 2017, accompanying the release of their album "Wild God". The tour will include 27 concerts in 17 countries, with a concert in Barcelona on October 24.

On April 23 the streets of Barcelona are full of people and bustle. A day to promote the sale of books and, hopefully, reading. So do not miss it and check here the areas with the highest concentration of stops and cultural and institutional spaces that join the open day.

The theme of this year's International Museum Day, "Museums for Education and Research," highlights the essential role of cultural institutions in providing a holistic educational experience and advocating for a more conscious, sustainable and inclusive world.

The BCN FILM FEST 2024 offers a varied program from April 18 to 26 at the Cines Verdi in Barcelona as its main venue, highlighting national and international productions in 8 sections. The opening will be with "Casa en Flames", a Catalan comedy-drama. "Hit man" by Richard Linklater will close the event, accompanied by the Director's Honor Award. The programming includes titles like "Memory" and "Daaaaaalí!" and features figures such as Meg Ryan and Vincent Perez, becoming an unmissable event for film buffs in Barcelona.
